I’m glad you noticed I chose to use Comic Sans MS as a joke after Simon’s cool slideshow from last week. I was worried no one would notice but hopeful that someone would ask what was up with it so I could remind everyone about how awesome Simon’s thing was.

In case anyone else was wondering, when making banners, I also struggle to find (1) art appropriate or germane to the videos, (2) art that’s funny-looking or poorly illustrated (see the Wind Drake art above), or (3) art that’s funny-looking and also germane (like Garruk’s pecs and biceps). For instance, I really wanted to draft a Flametongue Kavu in IPA so I could use the Planeshift art in the banner (since I think it’s one of the worst Magic pieces ever made– it looks like they had to edit in the fireball hitting something after the fact because they decided to use art with an originally unspecified purpose on a guy that pounded something for 4).

Thanks for watching and for your hatred of Comic Sans, which is, I think we can agree, at least better than Sand.
