no love for the deputy. just no love for the deputy of synergy! (possible targets: summoner, healer, voidwielder, skywatch) which makes him one of the best 2 drops lategame. his presence makeskeymaster rogues drawback an actual ability in your favour. additionally: karma gotcha for passing these cards cuz you were loosing to the guy you passed the rogue and the deputies

Also, @HogLatte. I agree however do not see Debt as a signal at all. Marshall explains it on the coverage and basically says its a bad wind drake lol. Look it up if your interested! It is worth the watch:)

man I 100% agree with marsh. one of the reasons i like his vids so much is cause he does a lot of stuff i would do like taking the shock and then (normally) still wins. If you are really here for the content, almost every time he says what he would pick up which gives you all the help in the draft and then in playing it is moot because it is all about playing the best you can with the cards in hand and what you could draw, not what could be in the deck. So really the only argument is in the deck building but if it was a first or second pick it WILL make the cut. So i really dont see the issue. Unless im in some PTQ or GP you darn right im taking the shockland. I do think picking the cluestone over the deputy was a mistake but its way easier to watch the video and say that and being in a “losing fog” can have something to do with that. Seriously tho guys are you really getting all butt hurt about him picking up the shock? idk im not trying to offend anyone but like i said, its a freaking 8-4, not a PTQ. relax.

Lastly, I think people are not realizing how hard it is to find a really good stabilizing bomb like the summoner which is why i might have tried to force those colors a little. after seeing some of the late drakes i might have tried BUG and maaaayyyybe tried to splash the white but i really hate doing 3+ splash in this format especially with cluestones as you only fixing (aside from the late prism) so I probably would have been BWG. Again However, a lot easier for me to scream on the benches instead of actually being up to bat.

Awesome stuff as always marshall! IDK if you play alot of EDH but if you have another bad draft i would love to see what you play!:)

I think a few people went overboard with their comments, but I agree with Dillon that it’s a bit off-putting to rare-draft anything not insane in a video. If the card is worth 40 tix then it becomes a bit harder to fault you for rare-drafting, but it makes me feel like you’re not taking seriously the content you’re producing to see a rare-draft on a 4-ticket card.

If you’re going to rare draft it would be nice not to do it on a video you are making for a limited column. The standard was good after, but i dont agree with rare drafting in a video.

i have exactly 0 experience actually drafting myselft, so is the rare land that much better of a pick than the battleshaper for pick 1? from what ive seen (which i admit isnt much, but enough to form an opinion), that battleshaper is a royal pain to deal with.

From an EV standpoint, slamming a four ticket rare is definitely correct… lay off guys.
