Don't feel bad about losing to Chihoi, he's excellent. One of the few people I used to dread facing with UB vs Valakut in SOM standard since he didn't make any of the mistakes you often see with that deck and played around everything well. No idea who he is but he's good.

The same used to be true of SandydogMTG and Boros/burn, but I think everyone who wins tix plays the UW mystic these days.

You know a deck is stupidly good when the good aggro/combo players all switch to it. I've played "The Deck" before (Faeries, Mythic, Jund, Valakut) and none of them felt as hard to hate out or beat.

I can't believe people are still playing RUG - Stoneforge Mystic is like Lotus Cobra tutoring up a fetchland, or bitterblossom drawing you a card. Printing Legacy strength equipment was the problem, because all these UW decks are is a compilation of the most standard legal legacy strength cards (Preordain, Jace, Stoneforge)

so many mistakes IMO. in the mirror you're basically dreading him hitting you with sword turn 4, yte you pass with 3 mana up and a hawk in your hand with mystic out. Play the hawk and you can threaten a sword hit next turn (obv. you won't commit to it unless he taps out) still bluffing the condemn. Then he has 4 mana and you have 4 mana and another land in hand plus jace, and I think you should just edge his edge there.

the obvious one is three hawks at jace and stoneforge equipped at him, but you won anyway. Lots of topdecks I noticed as well =\

It was good to see a few games against non-cawblade, match 2 especially was interesting viewing.
Can't wait for the prerelease video, if that is indeed what you do next!

M2G1 It may not have mattered but attacking with the last hawk would have meant he had no outs instead of sphinx+bolt off the trigger. He didn't even had that as an out, but putting him at 3 would put him further out of the race.

At least that's what I thought about it. Doesn't mean it changed the course of the game. lol.

M2G2 you probably should've just cast and equipped Sword to Stoneforge, then hit Jace with three hawks and him with Stoneforge. He can't block Stoneforge since both his guys are green, which gets a sword hit through and lets you untap into Oust his Oracle with two leaks open and Jace dead.
