Thanks for the feedback guys! I wish you could see the second game, 158 mins in total, that was corrupted on the ftp transfer somehow. This game was most definitely a poor one on many accounts, and was supposed to juxtapose the second vid handsomely, but alas. We can only post 50% of my intended content on this deck; which had me commenting on this game in particular. And this game was epic! Upheavals! Reversals! Oh sad and evil Fate!

Quick aside, I played and filmed 9 hours of games to get only two vids - one being this very video. It was nigh impossible to find decent players who did not freak out and/or mount the soap box.

I will take the decklist idea into consideration. As I have said in my first vid from my long hiatus, I have little time to dedicate. But I want the videos to be helpful, not just me ranting and gibbering like some mad old coot armed with cardboard beasties!

Again, thanks! I was getting worried at the low comment count on this one. Strangely, I have had more people comment me in game than on the site on this vid.

This deck is one of my favs! A true beast with lots of nice challenging aspects that can be tuned up or down depending on your preference and/or play group. I wish you could see the stronger showing... But thanks for the insights into the myriad play mistakes. Sometimes I get so caught up in my talking that I play like a baby man panda. I have a vid coming up in a few weeks where I totally botch a game I have locked by making fun of my future in-laws. I wanted to showcase the hilarity. Stay tuned!

It's nice to see red get a little shine in commander, the deck seems well-tuned.

Re: the quitters, why not post up on this site a couple days in advance of when you play the games, and see if some site readers want to join in. They will probably be less likely to quit and if they suck we can collectively rip on them.

Also, can you post up the decklists in these articles? It can't be much work compared to all the other time that goes into this series and it'd be nice to be able to scroll down to see the decklist while watching the matches play out.

I recently watched most of your vids and I'm quite a fan of the presentation, so keep up the good work!

Regarding this particular game... aside from the more obvious misplays...
- You could have legend ruled away the Sliver Overlord with your Sculpting Steel while you still had the Mycosynth Lattice.
- I don't see why you'd not let Energy Flux wreck the boards of the other two dudes at the cost of "only" half your own board. It's not as if that Crystalline Sliver was going anywhere. Well, that is, until he suicided it into your board... so I guess it worked out.
- I wouldn't scry Nevinnyral's Disk to the bottom when it might be your only out against aforementioned Crystalline Sliver (again, not counting on your opponent just throwing it away like that).
- Why sac your Gauntlet of Might rather than a Spine of Ish Sah or the do-nothing Crystal Ball? With two spines and a gauntlet it's not like you had to dig for action or mana.

Also... people generally like to play their deck, so I'm not surprised they scoop when you blow up all their lands with ye olde Mycosynth Lattice + Karn, Silver Golem (or Jokulhaups). I guess the dudes playing such competitive decks as Sliver Overlord or Zur, the Enchanter shouldn't be allowed to complain, but there's just no way Hazezon Tamar is ever going to beat that.

Anyway, good show!

Hmm, too few removal... There's a handful board sweepers (like I said you can also go with 'Haups if you don't mind being reviled and having people quit). Beyond that there's synergistic removal - Spine w/ Slobad, Latice w/ Spree, Lux Cannon w/ Ring of Bright hearth. Then we have Duplicant and SoFI. Beyond the fact that your cards generally are just better, faster, and scarier, spot removal, as such, isn't really needed. This is a tight build, and you will find that any non-artifact spells you play only make the deck weaker. Play it first and I think you will be surprised. Think of it more like combo, not like a utility deck.
