Dime a Dozen #87: Firebolts are Red, Delvers are Blue

It’s time to wreak havoc in the 2-Man Queues! While the Pauper Leagues are down, Jason takes his updated Izzet Control deck for a three-match spin!

While I definitely consider this a control deck, I do appreciate the ability to get proactive with Delver of Secrets, Jeskai Sage and Stormbound Geist.

These elements (when paired with the burn spells) can give us the opportunity to race against non-interactive decks, and beat the odds when it comes to unfavorable matchups.

Having more ways to win the game overall (more creatures, more direct damage) is a nice feature here, and hopefully the following videos will illustrate that.

Enjoy!

  1. Thanks for another great set of videos.

I don’t know if you play these all in one sitting or not. But, it seemed like the first match was challenging. It was cool how you just settled into the following matches.

Looking forward to your next installment!

  2. Aaron – Hey, thanks a lot!

    I can’t remember exactly, but I want to say I took a decent break in between R2 & R3?

If you liked this, the next set of vids (another Pauper League) are gonna be even more intense! Best of my Leagues thus far :)

    Appreciate the support!
