  1. Just wanted to chime in that I check this site daily solely to find out if you’ve posted another video. Excellent commentary and a great time killer at work. Thank you!

  2. No, thank you! Expect weekly videos on this column all Summer, friend(s)! I enjoy making them even more than you despise watching them!

  3. I was going to complain a little and tell you to pick up the pace somewhat, but then I realised I just watched TWO AND A HALF HOURS, consisting of you building a deck and playing one game.

…I still suggest you speed it up sometimes. Maybe skip the first few turns of a game, or just talk about a completed deck or something.

That said, I enjoyed listening to it in the background/having the game on half my screen and switching it to full-size whenever it sounded like it got good. Great deck, Annihilating stuff is awesome!

  4. I will try and expedite the process. Since I tend to just ramble a lot about things un-Magic, I lose track of time, whisked backward in time to a world where I was much cooler, funnier, and loved.

  5. Hi Travis, it’s me again.
I don’t think you should speed up or something. Your stories are actually pretty good and the reason why I prefer you over all the other MTG-casters, also those not posting on this site (go to my YT and see how many I subscribed to: http://www.youtube.com/user/eXXa1987).

So first of all I tried to do a similar EDH but artifact based deck. So I gotta ask:
Where’s Mana Vault and Sol Ring?
And Y-yeah cut the Pathrazer already.

Fun fact: there’s a holiday in germany tomorrow so I got drunk watching the game and so i did the little dance moves on the reflex song ;-)
I quite like your music, you should include more of it :)
And man, please post all the names of the songs youve played.
Your taste seems fantastic thus far.

Finally I gotta mention, that your opponents were pretty bad.
Nearly no removal, no use of Rashida(?!) whatsoever.

Anyways, I’m pumped to see your next game with the refined deck.

    Regards eXXa

  6. Hello eXXa,

I am sure Travis will reply to some of your questions but I can answer a part of it. Both Sol Ring and Mana Vault are not yet on Magic Online. They might be released in a future “Master’s Edition” set but we cannot say for sure.

    Have fun with our content,

    Marin

  7. Ah, thank you wampire lord! Yes, no access to those really powerful cards – which I look forward to procuring!

Reflex is a Duran Duran song. I will have to remember to take notes on these type of things. Truly, they are just a transparent veil for my lack of continuous drivel to share. Something new I decided to try when I discovered that I could navigate to the mac side of my partitioned computer and stalk my ex and send death threats to various people of authority at Wal-Mart.

I appreciate the comments, suggestions, and traffic on my little video endeavors. Keep ‘em coming!

  8. @eXXa: That guy had no chance to use Rashida Scalebane, as there were no dragons until she (Rashida) was killed.

  9. Indeed. Sometimes the competitive quality of my videoed games can be a little less than desirable, but such is this format. I actively seek out brutal competition, but advertising your match as such often attracts a wide breadth of players, as this is entirely in the eyes of the beholder – like “anti-Casual.” As I have no way to intuit the caliber of the game preemptively, I merely just go for it, tape it, and usually use the video regardless – esp. if I happen to ramble on about something particularly amusing (by my standards, at least). I’m glad some people enjoy them, as it is my only goal.

  10. @eXXa: I can’t skip ahead in the video to check and am not sitting here for an hour and a half, but are you sure you read Rashida Scalebane correctly? It can only tap to kill Dragons if they are attacking or blocking. From what I recall, he never got a chance to use it because Travis played around it.
If I remember incorrectly, my bad.

Oh and it’s ‘you’re’, not ‘your’. So you’re wrong there ;)

  11. Yeah well, the guy basically gave up instead of blocking and surviving. So Travis didn’t even had to play around it.
Which just further proves the point I made in the first place: the opponent’s were quite bad.

PS: I think you can use “your” for “you’re” on the internet if the context is clear.

  12. The best is to just use: ‘yr’. This works for both occasions and is easier to peck!

  13. @eXXa: I’ll take that as a ‘you’re right’ then, thanks ;)

Anyway Travis (we’re on a first name basis, right?), are you going to keep playing this deck or are you going to play a different deck every week?
I would like to see another game with this monster and perhaps hear you go through the tweaking process, but from what I heard in the vid you seem to change it up frequently.

  14. Of course you can use “your” instead of “you’re” if the context is correct, his point was exactly that — it was out of context. It doesn’t matter if you’re on the internet, poor grammar is poor grammar.

  15. Zage, this will be June’s deck. Expect three more vids in the following 3 weeks with this bad boy, minor tweaks, more musak, and banter to ensue!!!

  16. @Travis: That’s great news, this deck seems like a lot of fun. Makes me want to spend ridiculous amounts of money just so I can have it, too :p
    Looking forward to the tweaking/musak/jokes/banter!

  17. Thanks for the outro music. Whata douche I was?! I like to say whata.

    trolls… ,!,,

    later yall

  18. Mr. Deeds, no worries whatsoever! You were a worthy adversary! These vids in no way are meant to humiliate or showcase players in an unflattering light. Thanks for the game!
