  1. holy land flood batman great videos as always guys really gald round 3 pyxis went off was great fun watching

  2. I was raging for you until R3G2, lands were brutal to you so i’m glad pyxis worked out so awesomely.

  3. I was convinced your R3G2 Pyxis was going to reveal nothing but land. That was the most flooding I’ve seen since (insert tasteless real-world natural disaster joke here). That really was a sweet deck, well done on finally getting it to go off, and also showing that the Pyxis isn’t actually a terrible card, just one which needs to find the right deck. Filled with Gary.

  4. is it morally wrong to ask for a refund when beta crashed causing you to draft lands, but yet accomplishing what you did???

I haven’t been this happy for a long time, love it!

  5. Pyxis is a bad card – they could have won that R3G1 without the Pyxis. The 2nd Gary would have been lethal already had they been attacking aggressively into the opponent’s Omen Speaker. In fact if they had been building that deck without the Pyxis, they would have valued the auras and combat tricks more aggressively in order to push through damage with the early minotaurs and then played Garys to finish the opponent off.

But I am always happy when an LRR plan comes together! Keep up the good work!

  6. I’m fairly certain it’s impossible for Pyxis to go better than that. Except maybe if you Pyxis into a Colossus of Akros and enough mana to monstrous it. But at that point you had 7 land already, so who even knows. Either way, loved it. Keep doing what you do guys!

  7. I really, really wanted to see you turn the Overlord in round three, winning is great, but if you had had the Overlord or Dragon, that would have made it insane.

Of course, a hand full of Gary’s works too. Great video!

  8. I think it’s slightly better to activate Pyxis on your opponent’s end step. Then you get to attack first with your new creatures. Also you have more mana to play devotion creatures that benefit from the now-high devotion you get.

  9. Holy crap that was funny. Also it made me feel better about several drafts I’ve had where I felt like the draft went really well and then I got repeatedly clobbered by decks that didn’t seem like they should be that good (e.g. 3 people all in the same colors). Yeah, Pixis is bad, but the rest of the deck was good and you got stomped in the first 2 rounds without the Pixis being relevant.

  10. Round 1: poop
    Round 2: even bigger poop
Round 3: WHAT THE F*** WAS THAT!
I honestly think you guys made up for the first two rounds. Could you imagine how awesome it would have been if you were able to make Pyxis happen every time? Infinite vampire effect from Gary! The only down to the draft were your opponents deck choices. I would’ve liked a little more variety from them.
Awesome draft. Sweet deck. Amazing win in the last round. Can’t wait for the next time.

  11. That last round got me rolling on the floor! That was magnificent and brought a tear to my eye

  12. I can’t believe you played so many rounds where you drew land like it was 3/4 of your deck, but that round 3 was amazing.

It also got me thinking, maybe the Pyxis isn’t as bad as people think? Sure, the big ability is a bit of a toss-up, but think about it as if it were just a one-mana artifact that says, “Tap: screw with opponent’s scrying.” If opponent can only scry 1, scry becomes, “put the top card on the bottom of your deck or have it exiled.” If they scry 2+, they have to put both on top in order if they only want one in order to shield their actual choice from the Pyxis, and that one is probably not going to be something that will hugely benefit them if you do decide to set it off.

At the very least, it seems worth sideboarding in against decks that rely on scry to stack their cards. Or playing in a deck that has a lot of scry so that big things can be reliably obtained all at once on turn 7.

  13. @Daracaex, if you think they’re trying to shield a card when they scry 2, you can always not activate the Pyxis until after the top card has been drawn.

  14. That now was awesome :)
G3 is a lot of fun to watch!

Incredibly bad luck with the draws otherwise o.รด

  15. @Chris O., or if you generally activate it on your opponent’s end step, you can just activate it once then and once on your turn to nab them both.

  16. i stop watching p1p1, Pyxis is a bad pick, not pro pick IMHO.

YES, it is couloursless for keep you open colours, which is good, but the card himself IS NOT GOOD! Help opponent just as much as you, take forever to actually make the cards come back!

  17. Sorry P1P3 i mean. Magmer Jet or God Willing or Lash’s the Whip all better choice than pixis

  18. @hmm: …I’m not sure you’re entirely on board with the conceit of LRR’s drafts here.
