MTGOAcademy News!!

Hi there, gang! A couple of quick updates/announcements.

ON CONTENT

First and foremost, I am very excited to announce that I have been promoted to Content Manager for MTGOAcademy. Henceforth I will be handling all contributions as well as contributors. If you’re interested in submitting written or video content now or any time in the future feel free to contact me (travis.mtgoacademy@gmail.com or on my MTGO account: so many trolls).

On a related note, in the process of supporting and expanding our coverage on all MTGO formats, we are currently looking to secure Academy representatives for the following formats: Commander, Pauper, and Standard Singleton. Specifically we are looking for articulate, enthusiastic players with an overall insight and understanding into the aforementioned formats capable of contributing two written articles per month. Prior content experience is helpful, but by no means necessary. However, players that can offer elevated – ie: competitive (if applicable) — insight into their respective format are our ideal candidates.

If this is something that interests you contact me. It really is a great opportunity to raise community awareness regarding these highly underrated formats. Speaking from personal experience, it has made a considerable difference with regard to 100 Card Singleton. And, of course, compensation for the individual(s) that dutifully grabs the reins will be negotiated.

ON SITE IMPROVEMENT(S)

To better your MTGOAcademy experience, we are in the process of upgrading a number of features, as well as simplifying navigation on the site. So please bear with us as these improvements are being implementing.

We welcome and encourage any suggestions and/or feedback to improve the site. Feel free to comment in the forum below!

Stay tuned for these improvements, as well as the Grand Opening of our online store!

  1. I mentioned to Chris the other day that the site needed a log-in area on the home page, but see that it is already there, so nicely done on the fast implementation to whomever was responsible for that.

  2. Hey Platipus,

we are currently making several changes that are partially based on user feedback. We try to implement as many improvements as we can and always appreciate suggestions and ideas from users. We cannot promise to implement everything but if the suggestion makes sense we certainly put it on our list. Several other changes are coming over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

  3. The Academy will be ushering in the New Year with new contributors, new regular content, our online store, and updated features to improve navigation and resources! Hang tight till our Dec. 1st!!!
