GP Warsaw Underway With 989 Players

Coming fresh off Worlds week, most players are expecting a sea of Jund midrange, UWR Flash, and Gruul aggro. But the Grand Prix simultaneously marks the beginning of an evolution process. It's when the players look to the decks from Worlds Week and say, "How can I beat these?" They start bringing crazy new creations and hybrids in an effort to dethrone the top dogs.

Some of the local Polish heroes to keep an eye out for are Mateusz Kopec and Tomek Pedrakowski. But luminaries such as World Champion Shahar Shenhar, Player of the Year Josh Utter-Leyton, and Hall of Famer Shuuhei Nakamura made the trip as well. Not to mention Reid Duke, Yuya Watanabe, and Martin Juza. Yes, there are lots of big names in attendance today.
