  1. match 2 game 1, when he went all in you played snapcaster and targeted path, then at the end of combat you played the path from your hand, seems pretty bad

  2. Can you explain your reasoning behind leaving in Spell Snare in the Faeries match up? You said it counters Spellstutter Sprite, Remand, and Mana Leak but is that good enough? The most important cards it seems are Shackles (obviously), Mistbind Clique and Cryptic Command (I may be wrong here, feel free to correct me) and Spell Snare doesn’t do anything against those cards. Spell Snare does help you win the counter wars for those cards which is definitely relevant so that needs to be considered. Let me know what you think. Thanks for the videos I really enjoy them. If you have time, what do you think about the format? Are you enjoying it? Do you see it as a viable eternal format in the long run? What would you change about it?

  3. Why didn’t you consider bouncing snapcaster with the second cryptic M1 G1? Snapcaster in hand seems so much stronger than a random card.

  4. vanwilder : i saw that also. Think its hard on him to keep talking and playing the right moves all the time. He was talking and forgot about his snapcaster flashback in graveyard.

Love your games and decks ShipItHolla. Been watching them for the past 7months or more. Ever since i came back to magic.

    Steve

  5. @matt: Grim Lavamancer, Dark Confidant, Spellstutter Sprite, Pestermite, Vendilion Clique, Signal Pest, etc.

@vanwilder: I couldn’t find the play in question, but if I did that then it was very dumb. :X
Muppetkiller has my back on this one. Mistakes are inevitable when recording but I do my best to minimize them.

@asdsad and nathan: A good answer to Shackles, but more narrow than something like Disenchant

@Max M: Sprite, Remand, and Mana Leak aren’t the game enders, but having a 1 mana answer to them is still pretty relevant. It’s a card I do in fact want to see in the matchup.

As for the format, I can’t speak much for the expected longevity except that it seems to be a pretty popular format online. I know I like it.

@Anonymous: To be honest, that is a play I rarely consider whether or not it actually has merit. I should probably think about that one more often.

@jojo: Modern has been a new format for a bit and Standard has been pretty boring imo. When DKA is released online I’ll definitely be playing more Standard again.

@chris: I could have done that, but at the time I saw myself winning in two turns if I didn’t, plus he had 2 Splinter Twins in hand at the time so it seemed pointless.

    Thanks for all the responses!
