Decks like this make me happy inside. Sadistic indeed. I just can’t wait till Smokestack comes out and you add Crucible of Worlds. City of Traitors also may be a fit.

You sir, are one demented bastard – and I say that with the greatest respect. My magic calendar this weekend is taken up with release events, but hopefully we can go toe to toe in a Commander game soon.

PS – “the first thing I tutor for is mana crypt” – Still think it should be unbanned in 100CS? Yes, this deck makes amazing use of it, but it is simply insane.

    RoninX,

I was waiting for that! Heh. Yes, in a deck like this which disrupts mana and has many expensive spells, it’s like the Flaming Sword of Gali-Rha’ (just made this up). But remember: 1.) you have 40 life in this format and 2.) there are no super-fast Aggro decks like Gobbos. So it’s a might bit better in Commander than 100CS.

Also, I have made two edits since this video:

I swapped Into the Roil for Echoing Truth. I never kicked Roil, not once in infi games, but I did get the snot beat out of me by cloned beaters and stinkin’ tokens!!!

Speaking of being beaten up and/or Mana Crypt (in terms of it hurting you, not helping you) Sapphire Medallion was my second and final edit. Sun Droplet is basically gain 4 life a go around the table. A lot of the time you’re taking more damage from stuff like Crypt and Seizan, so you need this little extra buffer. Like my grandma says, “Two condoms are better than one rotten *!< %.”

Oh, and Minker, yeah, nice touch. Didn’t even think of that.

It would be great to get some competent dudes together to play this format for fun, as it is the most grudge-based alternative the game has to offer. I have since changed decks to this Mono-Green Legends beatdown deck that is slow as molasses, but I still get the holy hell attacked for having screwed people out in times prior. So when people say politics, think “sad little revenge plots” instead.

You talk about Sapphire medallion over other signets, but you aren’t allowed to have other signets, because those signets contain mana symbols that are not in your commander’s mana cost.

Ah. I thought it was just “they didn’t produce that color of mana.” See, I am a noob once more in the world of Commander!
