  1. Just watching the draft, I’m impressed with your card evaluations in the total dark while narrating.

  2. For future reference (it can sometimes be in Cube), Mark of Eviction really, really good. It is so cheap and gives you an incredible amount of tempo. That, and you can get sick with some of the auras in the set.

  3. one of the worst drafts i’ve ever seen from you. don’t get me wrong, it’s still fun to watch, but it’s clear that you don’t had a clue what this set has to offer. some picks will keep hurting me for the next few days :)

it comes to mind, what simon said in one of his last vids: inform about an unknown set before you draft it.

  4. Spectral Searchlight is weird ? Sure, it is weird now, but i remember a lot of games getting into trouble by this card and some longlost ‘ability’ called MANABURN !

  5. Funny how you don’t recognize Vedalken Entrancer or other reprints like cremate.
You should have been told the guilds were 4-3-3 in the sets, that might have helped staying above water.

  6. Wow, bold man. Ravnica and Time Spiral are the most skill intensive formats ever and you jump in feet first having done no research. You even ended up in a pretty great color combination. Sure you were short on playables, but impressive work. I remember the first time I drafted this set I had recently read an article about 5 color control and ended up drafting the most awkward deck I have ever played. I fell in love with Ravnica when I managed to go off with a combo of Yore-Tiller Nephilim and Rakdos Guildmage and cheat a Niv-Mizzet into play (yeah, it doesn’t get much greedier, but my opponent’s reaction was priceless).

  7. Signets are so much trouble online. I was screaming “Nooooo” in slow motion as I watched you cast that herald.

  8. Terrarion -> highlight “oh this is useless…or do I draw a card?” -> highlight for 0.1 sec “no”

    ^^

  9. downloadable vids is AWESOME. Other people on this site should do this, it’s great for ppl who watch these on ipads/phones.

  10. Wow that’s truely painful to watch.

Btw, that angel has first strike, you can block with it and it won’t get damaged.

  11. This is a good video for demonstrating drafting principles because not knowing the cards well force you to demonstrate value judgments on the fly. This is one that I learned a lot from. I’d rather have someone fumbling around in a video where I actually learn something than one where you will and look terrific and I just get intimidated or feel out-classed. This particular set of videos has more impact than you think…..

  12. In m2 when he has the tattered drake the 5/6 and the ragworm and he drops you to two, why not discard the angel to anarch to shoot the drake during blockers for four giving you 2 more life and letting you bin the angel to go back to 5?

  13. PB, I know. We used to offer it but can’t with most of our new content because our servers crash whenever our fans try to download all the videos at once. Maybe someday…

  14. Huge entertainment value. I have never seen worse plays. It is one thing not knowing which cards are good or are not, but just consistently not reading the cards is not exusable. I stopped counting in r2 when the mistakes cause by not reading the cards were at 8.
