  1. Sunblast is quite the pull, and while I think I probably would have taken the Demon I’m not sure if I would have made the switch into black for it or not, although I wouldn’t be super happy with hating a demon p2p1 either. Obviously your plan worked, evidenced by the fact that you went 6-1, but those sunblast plays were all really good.

Touching on what Marshall said at the very end of the video I would also like to thank both of you for putting these up here. There is a staggering amount of vitriol in the comment sections over at channel fireball and a few other places that is really just uncalled for. It’s obviously one thing to point out mistakes in a comment, it is entirely another to bring personal attacks into it and I commend you both for putting on stone masks and braving that to bring something back to the community.

Also, congratulations on the podcast sponsorship! You guys deserve it.

  2. This retro draft was really sweet to watch. Happy to see you beat 3 infect decks in a row. I faced a pair in a row once and it was taxing. Nice to see the big bad Infect go down!

    Keep up the great work.

  3. I have a comment on your Lumengrid Drake pick in pack 1 pick 9.

At this point you already have two Glint Hawk Idols.

With those idols there is one sweet “combo” with Heavy Arbalest I have had the pleasure to play against several times now. So, to further increase the power you get by picking later Arbalests (which didnt show up, but very well could), I’d take the Soliton here.

    Soliton vs Lumengrid Drake:
The Drake sort of requires metalcraft, and I have experienced often that you just don’t get that.
The Soliton is just ok on his own, but it it does count towards metalcraft and it does enable powerful combos with the Heavy Arbalest.

Neither of which is in red, which is the color I’d prefer pairing with white, because you often get passed semi-late Turn to Slags and late Vulshok Replicas. But there wasn’t really a lot of red in that pack…

That said, I’d probably end up playing the Vulshok Replicas and maybe even the Myr Galvanizer, take out the Archiect (easier manabase, not much interaction anyway), just so that I could play Rusty. Admittedly, it is a bit risky, but I think the 4 mana 5/5 is so powerful that it might be worth it.

Thanks for putting up all this cool content!

  4. Hey

you guys are great and I always look forwward to your vids.

I wanted to ask wether you could share the knowledge of making those vids – I would certainly want to try it, since that’s a way to teach myself and my friends.
how do you record a game and put it on a video file? which systems do you use?

note, the question is purley a technical one- how do I operate the system to create a file simular in format to those that you upload?

    thanks a lot,
    Carrotus

  5. Just wanted to let you guys know that watching your vids are a blast.
    Very entertaining and educational indeed!

  6. Hey guys, m3 g2, why not stick with the soul parry plan? The turn before you play soul parry, you could have attacked with all the flyers and gotten him down to 7, showing lethal the next turn. With Soul parry you would go to 9 poison likely win the next turn.

It seemed like you were going for this line of action, what changed?

  7. Thanks for another entertaining video guys. Don’t listen to all the haters out there. I don’t have the time or the money to do much drafting, so your videos are a great way for me to get the feel of what it’s like, plus learn a few things as well. Keep the draft videos coming please.
