  1. Thanks guys but your SB plan was pretty bad for that last game. Blisterstick was just terrible against your 2nd round opp. You needed more beef. But ultimately it matter little because 3xBesieged is terrible. :)

    Looking forward to more.

  2. Can the volume be fixed? it’s really low.

thanks for the draftvideo i’ve been missing them. i’ll come back later, because i can’t hear my laptop over the background noise even though volume is at 100%.

  3. @Martin: Is the volume slider all green in the lower right corner? In any case, I will try to get them slightly louder in the future.

  4. I suppose there was no shield because you only get a shield for damage prevention, not for regeneration. Correct me if I’m wrong.
I’m sad this format will disappear wednesday, it was very kind to me, only lost one time in first round and that was – no surprise – when i tried white, i also had the Victory’s Herald and in pack 2 Phyrexian Rebirth… never got to play them though.
Most fun was playing 2 blue “Mind control + infect it” in a row on 2 of oponents green 5/5 marauders…
It was strange to see you play so many artifacts, with all those people saying how much weaker they are then in Scars. Also never encountered an oponent who tried to play metalcraft. Personally i try to avoid them, exept for the myr sire and the wellspring (to crappy to be worthy of opponents artifact removal).

  5. Should have brought in the Gnathosaur in the last game. I love watching your drafts though, thanks for all the work!

  6. R1G1 you probably should have cast Burn the Impure on his Squire EoT the turn before you tapped out for the Herald. Him hitting a land his next turn and casting a Skinwing and being able to Squire it onto his Drone for a 7/7 flier was probably his best hope.

I also don’t like playing the Slasher once you’ve got the Herald down. You’re way ahead on the board, and it doesn’t affect villain’s clock at all. However, you did pass a Creeping Corrosion and judging from how late Marauders and Rot Wolfs were going there were probably only 2 Green drafters at the table, meaning there’s a good chance Villain had it in his deck. Why unnecessarily overextend?

  7. sorry guys i’m at home now and sound seems fine, don’t know what i did wrong earlier [/shame].

great vid.. man those priests of norn eh ;p

  8. I like watching you guys you make good sound gameplay decisions and complement each other well . I find myself disagreing with lots of ur decisions in the picks though.
This is fun to draft in my opinion.
I tried to watch the vid. 1 then rewatch with no sound and picking myself . I dont get how u can completely ignore all other green cards than marauder early on. you dont mention em and ur playing aggro i dont think u guys realize how insane rotwolfs and viridian emisaries are in a aggro deck combined with 1-3 marauders late game if needed. You showcased the emisarys ability to attack into anything and never getting blocked and if he does hes almost all value anyway rotwolfs with any equipment is sicko and without it its still crazy especially with blistersticks on 2nd mainphase. My point is green was open all through the draft and u never even considered it.
I have to say ur deck is still insanely good and could beat most other decks u got an unlucky type matchup. Getting 4 burns is crazy anytime.

Keep the vidios comming and better luck next time. Cheers guys!

  9. This recording occurred quite awhile ago (alas, the format has now “rotated”) and it shows. It looked a lot like many of my early MBS drafts, both in terms of what was getting passed and how the guys were valuing cards. The major oversight I saw was the same as Swiftnick’s: ignoring very strong green while searching for your second color… (so many emissaries and marauders passed!) but as I said this was early on. I wonder if the Ryan or Marshall could chime in about how their evaluations changed along with the format – maybe just a few particulars. For example: Blisterstick went from quite high in my estimation early to pretty lower later on (in MBS).

Enjoyed the discussion about the mana base, I think I would have been tempted to run 16 mountain and the red base, but the need for mana for spin engines would have still put me in mono, but 17 lands.
