1. I think that deck could use some more sb options vs the various control Decks, and u should be so kind and say gg ,)

  2. I found the default phrase programmed into the client as greeting:”Hello and good luck” a very unlucky choice. I for my part take the time to type:”Hello, have fun!” The simple reason is that I do NOT wish my opponent has good luck against me in a tournament setting and everyone honest to himself probably feels the same.
“Have fun” is something I can stand honestly behind. Curious to hear other opinions about it.

  3. I usually take the time to type ‘have fun’ as well. And exactly for the reason Plejades mentions: you don’t want your opponent to get lucky.

I thought I was the only one doing that =)

  4. Well, i can understand the point about not honestly wishing your opponent Good Luck, but im not that supersticious, so wishing “Hi, Good Luck” doesn’t really do anthing bad for you. Of course it’s kind of a lie, so.. yeah I can see your point.

I said it many times before, some adjustable phrases would be a really nice implement for mtgo, kinda like macros or something. I would bet the ORC’s got something like that.

  5. I try to keep to a minimum. I also don’t want my opponent to have good luck so I don’t bother saying it. I’ll say gg if they say it first and allow me time to respond.

As for the deck, this is the one that I have been testing for actual tournament play. I took it to a local GPT yesterday and won (8 people, so we just played out the top 8). It’s a fun and powerful deck. Here’s a link to my most recent version: http://www.mtgoacademy.com/bbforum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=38&sid=ae7811f314a261ce01d04676285a5b2f.

  6. It think, it’s always a good idea, if you have multiple sets of valakut activations to split the first set to hit putrid leech once, so they have to take 2 to pump, and then on the second set hit it once again. This way you won’t have to waste a whole activation, and instead you get at least 2 points of damage. If the jund player decides not to pump then you get the whole 3 you would have otherwise wasted.

  7. There was actually a very subtle misplay in match two, game two, that didn’t matter but is relevant a surprising amount of the time with this deck. When you used the third cryptic command to bounce his runed halo you choose to draw instead of tapping his creatures, if you resolved the command, drawing a card would have been irrelevant, BUT if you had drawn the murmuring bosk (1 in 9) you would have lost anyway due to not being able to do enough valakut damage. Just something to consider.
