  1. Should’ve attacked with all after he giant growthed his troll. Duskdale wurm can trample over for 5. 5+3 from the wolf+1 from the ranger is 9, so the best he can do is block the wolf and regenerate and go to 1 facing a 7/7 trampler.

  2. I honestly don’t know what Wyrath is talking about.
Think you guys drafted pretty well and got a bit unlucky in the finals.

  3. I don’t know exactly what you mean Wyrath, but in any case, I was rather hasty to make a decision on SOM Limited. I still don’t like it too much but I have found that drafting it is not so bad. Sealed seems to be dominated by whoever has the best infect deck, but in draft infect is over-drafted and is less of a problem.

Next time I’ll be covering a SOM Sealed with it being just released and all, but I will probably start doing constructed after that. UW isn’t something I particularly want to play right now but we’ll see where I stand in 3 weeks.

We definitely made some mistakes in the draft (and got rewarded at times). It’s kinda fair that we lost the finals after all that.

  4. i sided in double demon’s horn against shahar because he was heavy black, i was w/b… and i had double ajani’s pridemate…

  5. Spined Wurm > Greater Basilisk > Duskdale Wurm for your deck. 2 Acidic Slimes take care of your overcosted deathtouch creature quotient. Playing 16 land with a 7 drop seems greedy, even with a the elves and the cultivates. Having a Crystal Ball is a reason to play more lands, not less, since it allows your to minimize your odds of mana screw AND allows you to ship excess lands to the bottom.

Nature’s Spiral is SB material and is certainly not needed in multiples. Your curve is very high and you have so few early drops, I feel you built a deck that is very vulnerable to mono W aggro.

5 Mountains with 3 Chandra Outrage is greedy.

It’s also worth mentioning that with Sword of Vengeance you decided to only run 13 creatures, several of which are 5+ drops.

Just seems like a very suboptimal build that really leaves you wide open to awkward mulligan decisions.

  6. In R1 G1, on the fireball play wouldnt it have been better to tap out wipe his field and deal him 3 damage so you could deal 8 damage that turn?

  7. I think it was pretty cool of you to tell the new player
why he couldn’t target Garruk I know the first time i played against
    a planeswalker on mtgo i was confused…

Anyways, i think your build was fine. 5 mountains seem sufficent you only had 5 red
cards 3 of which were double red, but with 2 cultivates and a sylvan ranger 5 seems fine
Your also trying to hit double green most of the time anyways… 16 lands seems pretty good to me
especially considering you have 2 cultivates a ranger and a Llanowar.

However, the sword is awkward with only 13 creatures. maybe not in general a draft deck
has 15 to 16 creatures so maybe its not bad… anyways great job with the videos, and I can’t wait for the standard vids
