  1. In game 1 of the second round when you had the 2 creatures untapped, before he had Claustrophobia on the Bell-Ringer (but he had Feeling in the GY) you could’ve played Splinterfright to kill itself and untap the juggernaut, then when he feeling of dreads you can grasp and swing for the W.

  2. @GZA That interaction was apparently over my head. x0

In regards to the draft from last week, I appreciate the helpful comments. I don’t quite have all the card rankings narrowed down but I am getting better.

As a side note, I don’t like to force Dredge, but it’s the deck I always like having and do well with.

As for the PTQ, It’s clearly a very drawn out affair and I am usually just mindlessly Prepping my guys for their Travels over my opponent’s faces, but I hope you enjoy them regardless.

But at least in Round 3 I had an interesting situation occur that is worth pointing out. I would not have won unless I was able to keep track of the game state (in all forms) and my path to victory without doing a whole lot of thinking. These are two skills that every magic player would do well to have (If you’ve already watched it then you know how close it was).

  3. lots of times a spare from evil would have been a big blow out for you
i dont know why people hate on this card so much- its a crap way to win yea but its a win
it forces your damage through a lot of the time or it turns bad blocks into 2 for 1′s or 3 for 1′s
round 3 why not bonds the angel in game 2- idk :P

  4. I thought it was pretty funny that you missed the interaction in Match 2 but then discovered it almost immediately after. You did a pretty impressive job for having a pretty underwhelming pile of cards, and I was amazed by how fast you played against the clock. Excited to see your ISD game evolve over the next month or so!

  5. round 5 match 2, you missed that you can also hit players with the torch, you had the win and allowed to him to get another draw.

  6. My mind is boggling over why you didn’t bonds of faith the angel instead of the voiceless spirit in Round 3. Am I missing something? It may be indestructible, but it’s still an angel and not a human.

  7. Round 3 near the end he had a Grasp of Phantoms but he cast it on your guy, even though he should’ve won if he used it on his own guy, then flashed it back and use again on his own guy. That would give him 2 extra 4/1 Stalker hits which would’ve been 12, and you were stuck on 11 life.

  8. I loved how you ended each of the videos, mostly by coughing as hard as you could
be proud of your 7/3, it’s not bad at all.

  9. I’m surprised you didn’t bring the grimoire down into your stacks of all playables at the beginning of deckbuilding. I recently went 5-0 at a PTQ (10-0 in games) before drawing into the top 8, largely on the back of Grimoire of the Dead winning otherwise unwinnable games. It’s not great in draft, but in sealed it is an unmitigated bomb and should always be considered!

  10. Hey man thanks for making a mtgo ptq video. I haven’t watched it yet but I am starting now thanks again. XD

  11. Round 5 was pretty funny with you missing that you can just kill him with torch. When you said “you get the picture” I thought you were just trolling and after he blocked and pumped you could kill him but no LOL!

Round 3 he can’t bonds the Angel because it has hexproof. And yeah your opp played bad because he didn’t see the play of grasping his own guy and kill you as well as not making you block to time you out.

  12. End of round 5…topdeck blazing torch with opponent at 2 life yay!!!!….Nevermind, let’s keep playing magic! LOL

I’m pretty sure that Grimoire of the Dead should be in a deck with 2 splinterfrights. I get that they actually die when brought back, but the graveyard should be stacked.
