  1. Thanks for the live videos – love ‘em. Weird that you would run into two mono black decks though. I’m not actually sure that I’ve seen one before. Just a quick note: I think you need to be a little more aggressive with your use of Lotus Cobra. In the games that you drew it you basically ignored the potential explosive starts that it could provide (t3 baneslayer, t3 garruk), ultimately playing it as a 2/1 for 2.

  2. Turn 5, Game One. Swinging with the exalted escort is the play there. He had no tricks, and would not have blocked, giving you an extra 4 damage.

  3. Rhythmik- the game where he had the pro white blocker?

    RoninX- My fear was not drawing another land to make the Cobra worth it, but I think you are right. This format is a lot about ending games quickly, and the Cobra is more conducive to that strategy.

  4. Now I feel like the idiot. For some reason, I forgot that Escort was indeed white.

    In that position, I probably still would have swung. the worst he could do is block, and you lose nothing from him blocking.
