1. :) I remember winning lots of drafts when MVW was originally out because I would draft banding decks and no one knew how the rules for it worked.

BR is pretty strong also since you get shadow guildmage and a bunch of cheap aggressive guys like skulking ghost and the 2cc flanker.

  2. Hey Platipus,

yeah, there are other good archetypes of course and a lot depends on how the cards flow. I just thought I make a quick overview of what I like most and what worked for me in the past. The value right now is very good so I will most likely try to get into a few drafts if time allows.

  3. I just played 3 games against R/G and lost with a sick R/B deck. He won on the back of Torch and T1 Elephant twice =/
Shame. I had a good deck.

  4. I found people HIGHLY undervalue Sun Clasp and Emp Armor. If you can cut white with Knights and the 2/2 flyers, the chances of getting 2-3 of the aura’s are greatly increased.

  5. I just played 4 MVW drafts. My first 3 drafts I played R/G and lost miserably (propably because of my unexperience with older formats). Last draft I went B/R … what a deck! A lot of cheap critters and damagespells to the head worked out great. I didn’t get a moneyrare though :(. I would love to see some vids on these drafts … pretty please :)

  6. Shame I just found this article now, would have loved to get in on some of this action.

The cards look good and I like the slower pacing of the older game.

  7. I appreciate this article. I’m sick of M11, but wasn’t sure about leaping into a completely new format (for me) without some basic guide on drafting it. Thanks!

  8. I don’t know how i found this but NixTIx is weatherlight right now….
I think i am going to try prices probably are still close or at least i hope
    XD

  9. good advice, drafted a weak rg and went to the third game of the second round, and managed to pick up three of the cards on your money list and recoup my entry fee. thanks for the article.
